I genuinely wish I had video of my reaction when Cole(they/them)+Robby(he/him) told me their wedding was going to be at Otherworld in Columbus, OH.

This place is a fever dream in the best possible way and, as the couple so perfectly put it, “We want our guests to have fun!” Otherworld is absolutely the perfect place for fun. I admit, pulling all my lighting knowledge as quickly as I could was very challenging, but I’d photograph a wedding here every weekend if I could. The couple wanted both ambient (as-is) lighting and my flash photography, but I decided to bring a whole arsenal of flashes, LED stick lights, and Olivia for extra hands and help. Between the crazy rooms, the AMAZING staff, and all the colors you could imagine….well, I was in my own little slice of heaven.
I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS WEDDING!!!!
We planned for me to arrive at 6, find a spot for their First Look, and adventure around until guests arrived around 8. A whole two hours to take portraits with no risk of running into anyone?!

We wanted a collection of serious and very un-serious photos. Mission accomplished!
The ceremony was under the most magical tree in the center of Otherworld.
One thing I forgot to mention though, these two had my heart once I knew Cole worked in theatre, Robby was a gamer, and both are just the kindest souls you could ever meet. The best part about the theatre & gaming communities? It’s a bond unlike most. Having been part of both sides, I’ve made friends I’ve never met and memories I’ll never forget. Seeing others experience the same love filled me with joy.
Robby & Cole skipped the traditional reception activities and went for food and carnival games!
