Every year for the past few years, I’ve entered 50 images into a worldwide photography competition with Shoot & Share. This was the first year I took the time to screenshot my results to share with you!
Now, understand, of the 28 categories, there are THOUSANDS of entries into each. It’s insanity. The voting process takes a month and, while anyone can vote, you can’t just go find your photos and vote on them. You’re given 4 random images from a category, you get to pick one to vote on, and it automatically goes to another 4 from another category. You don’t get to pick what you vote on (you can eliminate 3 categories you don’t wish to vote on though) so it really keeps the voting fair.
On the caption of each image, I’ll write the category of that image along with the number of entries in that category.
I do find it funny that EVERY kid category picture that placed well is Meadow.
And the first time ever, I have a finalist image.
I’m determined to place even better for next year votes, which means this year sessions are going to have some extra motivation behind them!
