Exploring the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens for an engagement session on an oddly warm December morning with all the lights still up from Christmas made for the perfect recipe for a photography session. The sun mostly stayed hidden behind the clouds but we made the most of all the nooks and crannies we could find. There wasn’t much of a crowd, so getting the Cincinnati Zoo to look empty was insanely easy.

Kathleen and Andy found me through Kathleen’s cousin, Ciara. Ciara and Austin had their maternity and newborn session with me this past year, so they already knew they liked my style.

We didn’t know, however, how much our personalities would get along! I felt like I was just hanging out at the zoo with two of my friends (and Meadow, of course). We also got to see the rhino happily peeking out as the sun also made a debut….but my favorite? The random llama.
